Meet Dr. Margaret Dorfman

Dr. Maggie Lorenzetti Dorfman is a clinical psychologist specializing in neuropsychology and health psychology, and the founder of Raspberry Health—a practice where mental health meets brain health. She is licensed in New York State and board-eligible in clinical neuropsychology.

Dr. Dorfman earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at The Mount Sinai Hospital’s Department of Neurology. She also holds a certificate in Nutrition Science from Stanford University and advanced training in CBT-I, the first-line treatment for many sleep disorders. Her dual specialization allows her to treat mental and brain health in a synergistic, outcomes-driven way. She works closely with patients to address modifiable risk factors like depression, anxiety, sleep, diet, and exercise, with a focus on personalized, compassionate care. Dr. Dorfman has particular expertise in neurodegenerative and neuroinflammatory conditions, including Alzheimer’s, other dementias, mild cognitive impairment, and multiple sclerosis.

In addition to her clinical work, she brings a strong research background, with a master’s in Experimental Psychology and published research in psychoneuroimmunology—examining the links between sleep, cortisol, inflammation, and health behaviors. This science-informed approach is central to her work supporting long-term cognitive and emotional well-being.

If you’re seeking thoughtful, evidence-based support for your mental or brain health, Dr. Dorfman welcomes you to reach out and explore how care at Raspberry Health can help.
